Yule Tidings

Have an excellent Winter Solstice all, on this, the longest night. Today, as our ancestors have countless generations prior, we celebrate that tomorrow begins a new year. We recognize when the solar cycle truly begins anew, and we give thanks. This time around, the new year will be marked by a full moon, that with a bit of luck will be visible through the cloud cover tomorrow. We saw a beautiful rainbow corona surrounding the moon a couple nights ago, and have high hopes for spotting another!

Whatever your traditions, however you choose to celebrate, there is but one idea I would like to convey to you all, and that is; be good to one another, and honour the connection we all share.

One love, my friends.

Yep, my favourite three days, these - Dec 21-23. And though the days get depressingly longer, there are still three months of snow to go.

James, are you saying you prefer the long nights to daylight, and snow cover, over green grass?

Plez, Jane and Loz, have an excellent years end, and I hope that your respective holidays have offered much time for rest and reflection. :)

Ahhh...the solstice. One of my favorite days of the year during one of my favorite times of the year. And to ensure that it was truly the longest night -- we took that red-eye to VA. But the moon was fabulously beautiful over the bed of clouds we were flying over, and occasionally through. And the stars so clear. Happy New Year to you and yours, Dave. Nothing but possibilities lie ahead.

Kelly,
Thanks bud :)
2008 will be difficult, and wonderful, and hopefully we will all come one step closer to making our dreams reality!
